Join veterinarian, wildlife conservationist and writer Brad Ryan as he shares the moving and transformative story of his seven-year adventure alongside his grandmother, Joy Ryan. Together, Brad and Joy set out to visit every U.S. national park, forging a powerful bond and discovering the profound beauty of America’s natural landscapes.

Taking place on Friday, July 10, at 2 p.m. in Tucker Theater inside the Gateway Arch, this event will feature a moderated discussion and audience Q&A.

Riverfront Cleanup

National Park Week is an annual celebration of America’s national parks. Gateway Arch National Park and Gateway Arch Park Foundation are celebrating by helping to preserve and protect St. Louis’s historic riverfront and the Mississippi River, which flows along the boundary of Gateway Arch National Park. The annual St. Louis Riverfront Clean-Up will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 9 a.m. – noon. 

After removing more than 2,000 pounds from trash and recyclables from the river in 2025, Gateway Arch National Park and Gateway Arch Park Foundation have teamed up again with Great Rivers Greenway, Living Lands & Waters, Republic Services, and Missouri Stream Team to clean up our Mighty Mississippi.  

They’re asking YOU and your friends and family to join in lending a helping hand to keep the front yard of St. Louis clean, vital, and welcoming.

Arch Bark is one of the many pet-friendly events hosted by Gateway Arch Park Foundation.

Arch Bark is back on Saturday, April 18, 2026, and it’s the most tail-wagging day of the year. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Gateway Arch National Park transforms into St. Louis’s ultimate dog-friendly celebration, free for every pup and their person.

Kick off the morning with our community dog walk through one of the country’s most iconic national parks, then stick around for Purina Incredible Dog Team performances, a Dog Fashion Show + Best Trick Contest, a tennis ball pit, free caricature drawings, local vendors, food trucks, lawn games, and more.

10:00 AM Booths Open & Dog Walk Registration Begins
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Free Caricature Drawings
10:30 AM Dog Walk (Short Route to North Leg, Longer Route to South Leg)
11:15 AM 1st Purina Incredible Dog Team Performance
12:00 PM Dog Fashion Show + Best Trick Contest (most applause wins a three-month supply of Purina Pet Food)
12:30 PM 2nd Purina Incredible Dog Team Performance
1:00 PM Dog Agility Course Opens

National Park Service Fee Free Day

For 10 days in 2026, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. On these fee-free days, Gateway Arch National Park willwaive the $3 entrance fee included in the price of adult Tram Ride to the Top tickets and adult Documentary Movie tickets.

The 2026 National Park Service entrance fee-free days are:
● Presidents’ Day (February 16, 2026)
● Memorial Day (May 25, 2026)
● Flag Day/President Trump’s birthday (June 14, 2026)
● Independence Day weekend (July 3–5, 2026)
● 110th Birthday of the National Park Service (August 25, 2026)
● Constitution Day (Sept. 17, 2026)
● Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday (Oct. 27, 2026)
● Veterans Day (November 11, 2026)
